Valley Vipers ink Omer Yurtseven

Omer Yurtseven

Rio Grande Valley Vipers have agreed to terms with 27-year-old Turkish-Uzbekistani international center Omer Yurtseven (7'0''-264lbs-1998, college: Georgetown). He began the season at Panathinaikos in the Greek GBL league. In 10 games, he averaged 10.9ppg and 5.9rpg. Yurtseven had a strong season and was recognized as the League Player of the Week. Additionally, he played 19 games in the Euroleague, where he posted 6.3ppg and 3.5rpg.
Yurtseven has been a member of the Turkish international program for several years. He has played for the Turkish senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2017.
Yurtseven also represented Turkey at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event he scored an average of points per game and had rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Yurtseven has also played professionally in Greece, Turkey, NBA (Miami Heat and Utah Jazz), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and OKC Blue), and NBA Summer League (Miami Heat).
Among many awards, his team won the Greek League Regular Season in 2025. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Center of the Year in 2025.
Yurtseven graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 and is currently in his sixth season as a professional player. He also played for North Carolina State University for 2 years.
