27-year-old Turkish-Uzbekistani international 213cm center Omer Yurtseven, who played college basketball at Georgetown, has left Panathinaikos Aktor Athens (GBL). In 10 games, he averaged 10.9ppg and 5.9rpg this season, earning him the title of League Player of the Week. Yurtseven also played 19 games in Euroleague, where he averaged 6.3ppg and 3.5rpg.
He has also been a member of the Turkish international program for some years. Yurtseven has regularly played for the Turkish senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2017.
He also represented Turkey at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 15 points per game and had 8 rebounds per game.
Yurtseven is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Turkey, the NBA (Miami Heat and Utah Jazz), the NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and OKC Blue), and the NBA Summer League (Miami Heat).
Among many awards, his team won the Greek League Regular Season in 2025. He was also selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Center of the Year in 2025.
Yurtseven graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 and is currently in his sixth season in pro basketball. He also played for North Carolina State University for 2 years.
