Uralmash tabs Sergey Karaulov

Uralmash Ekaterinburg (Superleague 1) inked experienced 38-year old naturalized Uzbekistani center Sergey Karaulov (216-115kg-82). He played recently at Ural Ekaterinburg. In 13 Superleague 1 games he averaged 13.0ppg and 10.6rpg (leader !!!) this season. Karaulov also played for Vostok-65 Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk earlier that season where in 14 Superleague 1 games he had 6.4ppg and 5.9rpg.
In 2004 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (57th overall).
Among many awards Karaulov's team made it to the Superleague 1 Semifinals for two years in a row (2018 and 2019). He received also Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague 1 Honorable Mention award back in 2017.
Karaulov was a member of Russian University National Team in 2007.
He has played previously professionally also in Kazakhstan (MBK Almatynski Legion Alma-Ata) and Russia (Jakutsk, Krasnie Krilya, Temp, BC Nizhny Novgorod and Spartak Primorie Vladivostok).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Uralmash.
