Sergey Karaulov agreed terms with Vostok-65

SERGEY KARAULOV

Vostok-65 (Superleague 1) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 37-year old naturalized Uzbekistani center Sergey Karaulov (214-115kg-82). He has played for the last four years at TEMP-SUMZ-UMMC. In 39 Superleague 1 games he recorded 5.8ppg and 4.1rpg last season. Karaulov helped them to make it to the semifinals. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week.
In 2004 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (57th overall).
Among other achievements Karaulov played in the final of Russian Superleague 1 in 2016. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague 1 Honorable Mention award in 2017.
Karaulov was a member of Russian University National Team back in 2007.
He has played previously professionally also in Kazakhstan (MBK Almatynski Legion Alma-Ata) and Russia (Jakutsk, Krasnie Krilya, BC Nizhny Novgorod, Spartak Primorie Vladivostok and Lokomotiv).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Vostok-65.
