TEMP SUMZ Revda keeps Karaulov for another season

TEMP-SUMZ-UGMK Revda (Superleague 1) re-signed experienced 35-year old naturalized Uzbekistani center Sergey Karaulov (214-115kg-82). He has played there for the last two seasons. In 27 Superleague 1 games he recorded 10.1ppg and 7.8rpg (#3 in the league) last season. Karaulov helped them to make it to the Russian Cup Semifinals. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague 1 Honorable Mention.
In 2004 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (57th overall).
Among other achievements Karaulov played in the final of Russian Superleague 1 in 2016. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague 1 Center of the Year award in 2016.
Karaulov was a member of Russian University National Team back in 2007.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Karaulov has played previously professionally also in Kazakhstan (Almat.Legion) and Russia (Jakutsk, Krasnie Krilya, BC Nizhny Novgorod, Spartak Primorie Vladivostok and Lokomotiv).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at TEMP SUMZ Revda.
