TEMP-SUMZ Revda inks Sergey Karaulov

Sergey Karaulov

TEMP-SUMZ Revda (Superleague) agreed terms with 33-year old naturalized Uzbekistani center Sergey Karaulov (212-115kg-82). He played last season at Ural Ekaterinburg (Superleague). In 41 games he had 9.6ppg and 7.9rpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The previous (13-14) season Karaulov played at Ruskon-Mordovia (Higher League). In 27 games he recorded 10.3ppg and 8.0rpg (#3 in the league) in 2013-14 season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague Honorable Mention.
In 2004 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (57th overall).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Karaulov's team made it to the Russian Cup final in 2006 and 2012. He represented Russia at the World University Championships in Bangkok eight years ago.
Karaulov has played previously professionally in Kazakhstan (Almat.Legion) and Russia (Jakutsk, Krasnie Krilya, BC Nizhny Novgorod, Spartak Primorie Vladivostok and Lokomotiv).
