Uzbekistan NT finished 5th in Bishkek

Uzbekistan NT finished 5th in Bishkek at the International Tournament with 6 teams participating. Azerbaijan celebrated the victory in the annual Novruz Cup tournament in Bishkek. The victory marked the third success for Azerbaijan National Team at the tournament. The Elhan Aliyev team claimed five wins in as many games to celebrate the title.
In the third game at the tournament Azerbaijan took on Uzbekistan and enjoyed the third win 81:67. Anar Sariyev came up with 19 points for the winners.
In the last game Uzbekistan NT lost to Athletes in Action from USA. The American team started with 16-15, but the Asian side grabbed the lead at the halftime after 21-15 in the second period. The second half however belonged to Athletes in Action that won the third quarter 18-17 and finished the game with 23-14 for the final 72:67 win. Reginald Wright (191-G-80, college: New Jersey City St.) top-scored for the winners with 24 points and Aleksandr Kozlov (201-F-82) posted 19 points in the losing effort.
