Malaysia U16 - Uzbekistan U16 78:30

Malaysia clinched the 13th place at the U16 Asia Championship. They held off Uzbekistan in the final game of the tournament for both teams. Eng Keng (186-F-95) nailed 20 points to lead the effort. Malaysia and Uzbekistan got to a slow start. They teamed up for just 17 points in the first frame as Malaysia eked out an 11:6 lead. They maintained the advantage throughout the second term. Moreover Malaysia stretched the gap to as many as 14 points at the interval 31:17. Uzbekistan could not change the complexion of the clash after the big break. Malaysia established a 30-point buffer with ten minutes remaining. They held Uzbekistan to only 8 points in the fourth stanza and sealed the winning outcome. Kwong Lee (179-G-95) delivered 15 points for Malaysia. Yik Sim (179-G-95) netted 13 points in the win. Farrukhjon Muratov (185-G-95) answered with 12 points fo rUzbekistan. Artur Ovanesov (192-F-95) and Bogdan Erofeev (195-F-95) notched 4 points each in the loss.
