South Korea registered the third straight win at the U16 Asia Championship. They overcame Uzbekistan to clinch top spot in Group B. Kim Gookchan (193-F-96) scored 16 points to pace well-balanced effort from the Korean side. Uzbekistan fell at 0-3 record at the bottom of the ladder.
South Korea unloaded 34 points in the opening frame to take a 30-point lead at the first break. South Korea maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They recorded a 52:10 halftime advantage. South Korea did not slow down the tempo in the second half. They erupted for as many as 40 points in the fourth quarter to celebrate a confident win at the end. Shin Mincheol (187-F-96) produced 13 points, while three more players delivered 12 points each in the win. Ruslan Bokhodirov (215-C-95) answered with 11 points for Uzbekistan. Farrukhjon Muratov (185-G-95) had 8 points in the losing effort.
