Lebanon opened their U16 Asia Championship campaign in style. They rallied past Uzbekistan in Group B. Jimmy Salem stepped up with 25 points to top-score for the winners.
It was all over for Uzbekistan in the first half. Lebanon limited their opponents to just 5 points in the first 20 minutes to establish a comfortable 57:5 lead. Lebanon stayed aggressive defensively in the second half. They erupted for 29 points in the third quarter to pile up a 67-point buffer heading into the fourth frame. Lebanon did not slow down in the fourth frame cruising to the victory at the end. Ezzat El Kaissi recorded 15 points, while Marc Kourjan added 13 points in the winning case. Farrukhjon Muratov responded with 8 points for Uzbekistan.
