2011 Asian Championship: Qatar lost to Uzbekistan by default

Qatar-Uzbekistan 12:27 default

Uzbekistan started their 26th FIBA Asia Championship with the victory over GCC champions. Qatar lost Group B game by default 12:27.
Qatar started the game with five players. They committed five personal fouls in the first six minutes of the game. Denisov opened the scoring account in the game, while Matalkeh gave Qatar 2:1 lead. Saad also remained Qatar in front at 5:3, while Evgeniy Shatrov (192-G-86) scored for 7:5. The latter also brought 11:7, while Samender Juginisov (202-F-87) closed an 11-0 run for his side. Saad nailed three for 18:10, while Uzbekistan erupted with another 9-0 run. Matalkeh scored for 27:12 and then he received his last fifth foul. Evgeniy Shatrov stepped up with 10 points for the winners and Samender Juginisov nailed 9. Yevgeniy Pereverzev (183-G-87) followed them with 4 points. Saad ended up with 8 points in defeat and Hammam posted 4.
