TBL Round 4 (Second Stage): Devil Rays beat TGE in the most crucial game of the week

Second ranked Devil Rays faced one of their biggest challengers TGE. Host Devil Rays (11-2) defeated guests from (9-4) 74-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TGE. American point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-1994, college: PVAMU) fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Jittaphon Towaroj (186-1991) chipped in 21 points. American point guard Jarron Crump (183-1992, college: Pacific Union) produced 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Newly promoted Devil Rays maintains second position with 11-2 record behind leader Hitech. TGE at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Bangkok Tigers. Devil Rays are looking forward to face Dunkin' Raptors (#5) in the next round. TGE will play against SWU and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

American point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Dunkin' Raptors. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-1 record. Dunkin' Raptors at the other side keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Hitech's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bangkok to the arena Bangkok Tigers.

Worth to mention a great performance of Panthawat Techasamran who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Bangkok Tigers' coach N. Wongwat felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Natthaworn Banjathon responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Bangkok Tigers moved-up to third place, which they share with TGE. SWU lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Bangkok Tigers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bangkok Hitech.

Dunkin' Raptors - Hitech 75-108

Leader Hitech delivered the twelfth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Dunkin' Raptors (6-7) 108-75. Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkin' Raptors' 38. They outrebounded Dunkin' Raptors 52-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Hitech players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joshua Keyes (201-1995, college: Muskingum, agency: PBAplayers Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds.
