TBL Round 3 (Second Stage): Bangkok Tigers lose to Devil Rays in the game between Top 4 teams

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Very significant was Devil Rays' (#2, 10-2) victory against Bangkok Tigers (8-4) 93-82. Devil Rays forced 29 Bangkok Tigers turnovers. Strangely Bangkok Tigers outrebounded Devil Rays 48-27 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-1994, college: PVAMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 assists. International Moses Morgan (198-1992, college: CS Fullerton) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Devil Rays are looking forward to face TGE (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bangkok Tigers will play against SWU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Hitech (11-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed SWU (3-9) in Bangkok 86-64. It was a quality performance for power forward Khunnarong Pratesrat who led the winners and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Sukhdave Ghogar accounted for 12 points and 13 rebounds. Hitech's coach Manid Niyomyindee felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Pongsatorn Tabtim (187-1998) came up with 25 points for SWU in the defeat. Hitech will play against Dunkin' Raptors (#5) in the next round. SWU will play against Bangkok Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

TGE - Dunkin' Raptors 114-84

TGE (9-3) crushed at home Dunkin' Raptors (6-6) by 30 points 114-84, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. TGE forced 22 Dunkin' Raptors turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Dunkin' Raptors' players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jarron Crump (183-1992, college: Pacific Union) who scored 26 points and 9 assists. British forward Joe Mvuezolo (197-1996, college: Montana St.) chipped in 24 points. Four TGE players scored in double figures. TGE's coach C. Wongworachet felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international Toby Sathitsumpan (182-2001) added 18 points respectively. TGE will meet Devil Rays in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dunkin' Raptors will play against Hitech and hope to secure a win.
