TBL Round 2 (Second Stage): Hitech defeat Devil Rays

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in TBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Devil Rays at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Hitech 104-96. Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Devil Rays' 30. They outrebounded Devil Rays 56-38 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Chanatip Jakrawan (204-1997) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Nattakarn Muangboon (180-1991) contributed with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Hitech's coach Manid Niyomyindee used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International Moses Morgan (198-1992, college: CS Fullerton) replied with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for Devil Rays. Hitech are looking forward to face SWU in the next round where they are favorite. Devil Rays will play against Bangkok Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American point guard Jarron Crump (183-1992, college: Pacific Union) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Joe Mvuezolo chipped in 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TGE will play against Dunkin' Raptors in the next round. Bangkok Tigers will play against Devil Rays and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Dunkin' Raptors and SWU in on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Dunkin' Raptors outscored guests from 116-94. Avery Scharer notched a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 21 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort. Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Natthaworn Banjathon did not help to save the game for SWU. Dunkin' Raptors will meet TGE in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SWU will play against Hitech in Bangkok and hope to secure a win.



TGE - Bangkok Tigers 88-70

Very important is a road loss of Bangkok Tigers against TGE on Wednesday night. Visiting Bangkok Tigers were defeated by TGE in 88-70. TGE forced 20 Bangkok Tigers turnovers. American point guard Jarron Crump (183-1992, college: Pacific Union) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and British forward Joe Mvuezolo (197-1996, college: Montana St.) chipped in 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. Four TGE players scored in double figures. Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Kittitep Lane Dasom scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TGE will play against Dunkin' Raptors in the next round. Bangkok Tigers will play against Devil Rays and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Dunkin' Raptors - SWU 116-94

The game between Dunkin' Raptors and SWU in on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Dunkin' Raptors outscored guests from 116-94. Dunkin' Raptors dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to SWU's 48. They outrebounded SWU 58-40 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dunkin' Raptors looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) notched a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 21 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international Toby Sathitsumpan (182-2001) supported him with 42 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Scharer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by guard Natthaworn Banjathon (179) did not help to save the game for SWU. Forward Jompon Srisuk (180) added 14 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Four Dunkin' Raptors and five SWU players scored in double figures. Dunkin' Raptors will meet TGE in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SWU will play against Hitech in Bangkok and hope to secure a win.
