TBL round 5 most important game was a victory of Sting Rays over 5th ranked Shoot it Dragon 77-69 on Sunday night. Sting Rays dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Shoot it Dragon's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international guard Jittaphon Towaroj (186-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Arnat Phuangla (193-96) contributed with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The former international Tawatchai Suktub (186-87) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Shoot it Dragon. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sting Rays (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dunkin' Raptors. Shoot it Dragon at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Thunders. Sting Rays is looking forward to face Thunders (#7) in the next round. Shoot it Dragon will play against Dunkin' Raptors and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Bangkok Tigers (5-0) which played road game in against 4th placed Dunkin' Raptors (3-2). Leader Bangkok Tigers had an easy win 80-57. Wuttipong Dasom stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Nattapat Biasamrit chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Bangkok Tigers' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Wuttipong Dasom responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Undefeated Bangkok Tigers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Dunkin' Raptors at the other side keep the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Sting Rays. Bangkok Tigers will play against bottom-ranked T-REX (#10) in Nakhon Ratchasima in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dunkin' Raptors will have a break next round.

T-REX will play against the league's leader Bangkok Tigers (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

In the last two games of round 5 Hitech smashed Mad Goat on the road 96-47. TGE destroyed Thunders on its own court 90-64.
The most impressive performance of 5th round was 12 points, 7 assists and 5 steals by Thakamin Sirichariyaphon of Bangkok Tigers.



SWU - T-REX 70-64

SWU's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat T-REX (0-5) 70-64 on Sunday. SWU forced 24 T-REX turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International center Afnan Charansarn (188-97) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Peerachai Sinlapanawa (173) accounted for 5 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Filipino guard Christian Calaguio (185-75, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Callahan Setakhet added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for T-REX in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. SWU (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Mad Goat. Mad Goat - Hitech 47-96

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Hitech (4-1) crushed 8th ranked Mad Goat (1-4) in Nakorn Phantom 96-47 on Sunday. Hitech shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Mad Goat only scored six points from the stripe. Hitech forced 29 Mad Goat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Nattapol Kupradit (175) nailed 24 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international Toby Sathitsumpan (182-1) accounted for 22 points. Four Hitech players scored in double figures. Udomchot Thiamlert came up with 4 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Kamani Hodges (185-94, college: Clearwater Chr.) added 13 points respectively for Mad Goat in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hitech. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with TGE. Loser Mad Goat keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with SWU. Hitech will meet at home SWU (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mad Goat will play against the league's second-placed TGE and hope to win that game.

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Thunders (2-3) were smashed on the road by third ranked TGE (4-1) 90-64 on Sunday. TGE forced 22 Thunders turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Manatkawin Booddoung (177) nailed 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and guard Manatsawe Booddoung (176) accounted for 21 points and 10 assists. Guard Apisittinan Dasom (188-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Kittithep Dasom added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Thunders in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TGE moved-up to second place, which they share with Hitech. Loser Thunders keep the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Shoot it Dragon. TGE will meet Mad Goat (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Thunders will play against Sting Rays and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
