Regular Season Round 5: SWU - T-REX 70-64

SWU's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat T-REX (0-5) 70-64 on Sunday. SWU forced 24 T-REX turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International center Afnan Charansarn (188-97) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Peerachai Sinlapanawa (173) accounted for 5 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Filipino guard Christian Calaguio (185-75, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Callahan Setakhet added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for T-REX in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. SWU (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Mad Goat. It was T-REX's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. SWU will meet higher ranked Hitech (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. T-REX will play against the league's leader Bangkok Tigers (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
