WSBL Round 25 (Regular Season): Taiyuan T. beat Taipower by one after a very close game

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in WSBL. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Fourth-ranked Power (5-20) was very close to win a game against third ranked Taiyuan Textile (10-15) on Friday. Taiyuan Textile managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected easier game. Taiyuan T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ajae Petty (190-2002, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds. Center Wei-Qing Liao (180) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Taiyuan Textile's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Rui-Zhen Song (160) answered with 32 points and 5 rebounds for Taipower. Taiyuan T. maintains third place with 10-15 record having thirteen points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Taiyuan T. are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against the league's second-placed Chunghua T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and Ping Luo chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side the former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) responded with 11 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-2 record. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the second position with 13 games lost. Cathay Life will play against Taiyuan T. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chunghua T. will play against Taipower and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
