An interesting game forTigers (23-2) which played against their biggest opponent Chunghwa Telecom (12-13). First ranked Tigers had an easy win 98-68 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chunghwa Telecom. Cathay Life dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Chunghwa Telecom 's 36. Cathay Life outrebounded Chunghua T. 49-25 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cathay Life players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international point guard Ping Luo (168-1996) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side the former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and guard Shi-Zan Xu (164) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-2 record. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the second position with 13 games lost.
