WSBL Round 6 (Regular Season): Chunghua T. lose to Cathay Life in the game between Top 4 teams

Very significant was Cathay Life's (#2, 13-5) victory against one of their biggest challengers Chunghwa Telecom (6-12) 55-33. Cathay Life held Chunghua T. to an opponent 21.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Chunghua T. 45-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. New Zealand forward Penina Davidson (190-1995, college: California) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Shi-Zan Xu (164) with 5 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
