Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Very significant was Cathay Life's (#2, 13-5) victory against one of their biggest challengers Chunghwa Telecom (6-12) 55-33. Cathay Life held Chunghua T. to an opponent 21.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Chunghua T. 45-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. New Zealand forward Penina Davidson (190-1995, college: California) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Shi-Zan Xu (164) with 5 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-5 record having four points less than leader Taiyuan T. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the third place with 12 games lost.

Jia-Xian Su notched 15 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Tieh Lin supported her with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Taiyuan Textile's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by the former international Yi-Wen Zhang (173-1996) did not help to save the game for Taipower. Taiyuan Textile (17-1) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Taiyuan T. maintains first position. Taipower at the other side still closes the standings.

Rather expected game when 3rd ranked Chunghwa Telecom (6-12) was crushed by first ranked Taiyuan Textile (17-1) 73-53 on Sunday. Taiyuan T. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Taiyuan T. outrebounded Chunghua T. 44-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Taiyuan T. made 10 blocks.
