An interesting game for Cathay Life (11-4) which played against 3rd placed Chunghwa Telecom (5-10). Second ranked Cathay Life had an easy win 76-58. Cathay Life outrebounded Chunghua T. 45-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cathay Life looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. New Zealand forward Penina Davidson (190-1995, college: California) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. The former international forward Ling-Chuan Huang (175-1994) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) answered with 14 points for Chunghua T.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
