Taiwan Beer - Bank of Taiwan 70-80 Top ranked Taiwan Beer (15-2) recorded its second loss against second ranked Bank of Taiwan on Friday night. Bank of Taiwan were defeated by second ranked Bank of Taiwan (11-5) 80-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Bank of Taiwan forced 25 Taiwan Beer turnovers. American swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) fired 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Qi-Min Lu (188-1989) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bank of Taiwan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-5 record having five points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jalen Robinson (206-1993, college: Dalton St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds. Canadian-American swingman Nicholas Wiggins (198-1991, college: Z*Orangeville A's) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Jeoutai players scored in double figures. American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) answered with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and guard Guan-Liang Lu (185-1990) added 6 points and 7 assists in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. Jeoutai maintains third place with 7-9 record having nine points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. It was a great evening for American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Canadian power forward Keanau Post (210-1992, college: Missouri) helped adding 12 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side American power forward C.J. Yulon Luxgen looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists.
