Norbertas Giga (ex Silute) signs at Al Wahda

Norbertas Giga

Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) landed 30-year old Lithuanian 208cm power forward Norbertas Giga (college: Jax State) for new season. Giga was about to sign at BC Silute in Lithuanian NKL league.
He represented Lithuania at the CBI Championship Semifinals seven years ago.
Giga is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Giga has played previously professionally also in Iceland (Haukar and Alftanes), Indonesia (Prawira), Japan (Samuraiz), Kazakhstan (Irbis), Poland (Spojnia) and Lithuania (Rytas, Neptunas and Juventus). He was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Indonesian League Honorable Mention in 2025.
His college team made it to the Icelandic Cup Final Four in 2024.
Giga graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2018 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: Midland College, Tallahassee Community College.
