During last summer, he split his time between Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud in the Chilean LNB and Locked In Elite in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament. In four games with Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud, he averaged 14.5ppg, 4.3rpg, and 1.3apg. Owens is a highly experienced player. Owens' career has taken him to four different continents, where he has played in ten different countries. He has experienced life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. Owens has played professionally in Bahrain (Al-Ittihad), Bosnia (Posusje), Bulgaria (CSKA Sofia), Chile, Cyprus (APOEL Nicosia), Georgia (Tbilisi State University), Iraq (Al Karkh), Jordan (Al Ahli), Qatar (Al Sadd), and Saudi Arabia (Ohod). In 2025, his team reached the Chilean final. In 2024, he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Honorable Mention. Owens, a former Eurobasket Summer League player, is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. He graduated from Young Harris College in 2020 and is in his sixth season as a professional player. Owens also played for University of South Carolina Salkehatchie for 2 years.
