AJ John (ex OSE Lions) signs at Al Ittihad

AJ John

Al Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo (SBL) signed AJ John, a 27-year-old American forward standing at 202cm tall. John, who played college basketball at UC Davis and is represented by MSG agency, most recently played for OSE Lions in the Hungarian A Division. In 7 games this season, he averaged 7.9ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.4spg. Prior to his time in Hungary, John played for Liege Basket in the Belgian Pro Basketball League and had impressive stats in 7 games in the BNXT League, averaging 17.0ppg and 6.3rpg.
He is a very experienced player who has played professionally in eight different countries on three continents - Bahrain (Nuwaidrat), Belgium, Greece (Agriniou), Israel (Maccabi Hod Hasharon), Japan (Swoops), North Macedonia (KK TFT Skopje), and The Basketball Tournament (Athletics Miami).
His team won the Big West Regular Season in 2018, and he was voted to the Asia-Basket.com Bahrain League All-Imports Team in 2021.
He graduated from the University of California - Davis in 2019 and is now in his fifth season in pro basketball. He also played for Pepperdine University for 2 years.
