Ali Haidar (ex Beirut Club) agreed terms with Al Karameh

Al Karameh Homs (SBL) inked 32-year old Lebanese international 203cm power forward Ali Mohamad Haidar (college: Michigan Tech). Haidar moved there from Beirut Club in Lebanese LBL league where he played this season. In 31 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.9ppg, 6.6rpg and 2.6apg. He was also voted League Player of the Week. Haidar also played 8 games in West Asia Super League where he averaged remarkable 18.1ppg, 6.6rpg and 2.5apg.
He represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta (Indonesia) last year. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 3 games: 11.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.0apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 51.9%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 22.2%.
Haidar is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). Haidar has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Manama), Canada (Saskatchewan), Iraq (Al-Hashd), Jordan (Al Wihdat), Qatar (Al Gharafa), Slovenia (Sencur Gorenjska Kranj), Lebanon (Al Riyadi, Champville and Dynamo) and Libya (Al Nasr). He won Lebanese League championship title in 2014, 2016 and 2017. Haidar selected toAll-GLIAC Player of the Year back in 2012 and 2013.
He graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2013 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
