Al Jaish keeps Merjaneh for another season

Al Jaish Damascus (Division I) re-signed experienced 37-year old international 183cm point guard Rami Merjaneh for upcoming season. Merjaneh has played there for the last six seasons. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. They also played in the Cup final.
Merjaneh represented Syria at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Amman (Jordan) six years ago.
He has spent his entire career in Syria playing for two other teams: Al Wahda and Al Jalaa.
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-WABA Champions Cup 2nd Team in 2019.
Merjaneh is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Jaish.
