Kemal Canbolat and Douglas Herring join the training camp of Syrian National Team

The Syrian Basketball Federation has announced to the media that they agreed terms with 34 years old American Guard Douglas Herring Jr. (191-G-87, college: Utica) to be the new naturalized players of Syrian National Team. Douglas will replace Trey Kell who played with Syrian NT in the last qualifying games against Qatar and Iran and scored 70 points in the both games.
Douglas hasn't played anywhere this season but last season he played with Zhuhai Wolf Warriors the Chinese team that play in Asean League, in 8games he averaged (22.1ppg), 6.5rpg, Assists-2 (8.9apg), Steals-5 (1.9spg).
Another player joined the National Team training camp whose Kemal Canbolat (211-C-94) the Dual Citizenship player who holds Turkish and Syrian Passports. Kemal has played earlier this season with Sigortam.net Istanbul the team that participate in Turkish TBL League, in 30 games he averaged 6.7ppg and 4rpg. He also played last season Lithuania with BC Silute and Dzukija Alytus.
