Al Jalaa Aleppo (Division I) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 39-year old former Syrian international small forward Micheal Madanly (194). It is actually his comeback to Aleppo as he has played here before. He played recently at Feyenoord in Dutch DBL league. He missed last two seasons and had longer break from professional basketball.

Madanly also represented Syria at the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon four years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: Score-2 (20.5ppg), 4.8rpg, 4.3apg, 2.0spg, FGP: 55.2%, 3PT: 27.3%, FT: 0.0%.

Madanly is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in China (Jilin Tigers, Long Lions and Eagles), Philippines (TNT Ka Tropa and NLEX Road Warriors), Saudi Arabia (Al Ittihad), Syria (Al Wahda and Al Jaish), Lebanon (Champville) and Holland (Amsterdam).
Among many awards Madanly's team made it to the Eredivisie Semi-finals in 2018. He received also Asia-basket.com All-FIBA Asia Cup Honourable Mention award back in 2017.

It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Jalaa.
The scouts describe him following way: One of the best players in the country. Good young prospect at the point and shooting guard position; nice shooting 3 points rang ,attacks basket and finishes effectively; nobody can stop him when he is making layup or dunk; excellent upper body strength speed, and quickness .solid defender.
