Woori Bank earned the fifth straight WKBL title. They overcame Blue Minx in overtime in the third game of the series to complete the sweep. The game was mostly controlled by Woori Bank. Blue Minx was better in third quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Blue Minx used huge pressure winning it 18-15 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 4-15. Woori Bank made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game, while Blue Minx only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Blue Minx 62-39 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Blue Minx was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Bahamas center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: G.Washington) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 25 rebounds. The former international guard Hye-Jin Park (178-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Kimberly Roberson (178-86, college: Indiana) answered with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international guard Ha-Na Park (177-90) added 21 points in the effort for Blue Minx. Blue Stars overcame Pink Stars in All Star Game tonight. They grabbed a 102-100 victory as Christmas Karima (182-F-89, college: Duke) was named MVP of the game. She scored with 19 points and added 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Pink Stars won the first period 28-20 and managed to save a 1-point lead at the halftime. Pink Stars however replied with a 30-25 rally in the third period and grabbed a narrow 2-point total win. Williams Destiny (185-F/C-91, college: Baylor) posted 19 points, while Gang Jaejeong notched 16. Thornton Kayla (185-F-92, college: UTEP) notched 20 points for the Pink Stars and Lee Kyung-Eun (176-G-87) Kyung Eun brought 12.
