Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most shocking disappointment of round 17 was a home defeat of 3rd placed Chong Ghee (10-6) to fourth ranked Tagawa (11-5) 74-65 in the game for the third place. Harihaaran Parathy stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners and international forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-2000) chipped in 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Jay-Shay Lim (177-1997) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tagawa have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Chong Ghee at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Tagawa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Singapore to the arena Hornets.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Singapore: Xin Hua (#5) and Tong Whye (#6). Xin Hua (9-7) won against visiting Tong Whye (8-8) 78-70. International guard Terry Lua (191-1997) nailed 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Cheng Shan Tan accounted for 16 points. Xin Hua's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Lavin Raj V (201-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for Tong Whye in the defeat. Xin Hua maintains fifth place with 9-7 record. Tong Whye at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Xin Hua will play against SG Bball (#9) in the next round. Tong Whye will play against SBA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Singapore: Hornets (#1) and Siglap (#8). Siglap was crushed at home by 16 points 70-86 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Siglap. The best player for the winners was Jun Hao Mah who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Eshan Kaul produced 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixteenth consecutive win for Hornets. They maintain first place with 16-0 record. Loser Siglap keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Hornets' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Singapore Tagawa.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 17: bottom-ranked Tungsan destroyed SG Bball on the opponent's court 76-55. Adroit outscored SBA in a home game 73-52. Nanyang was rolled over Police on the road 76-51.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 9 points and 14 rebounds by Emgeeyar Gopal of Police.




SG Bball - Tungsan 55-76

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked SG Bball (5-11) was crushed at home by twelfth ranked Tungsan (3-13) 76-55 on Tuesday. Tungsan outrebounded SG Bball 55-35 including a 44-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tungsan looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Prasant Selvakumar who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Kyran Catiter chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tungsan players scored in double figures. Jonathan Hai produced 25 points and 4 steals and Ron-The Kaiyuan added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Tungsan moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Nanyang and Police. Loser SG Bball keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Tungsan will meet at home Police (#11) in the next round. SG Bball will play against Xin Hua and hope to secure a win.

Adroit - SBA 73-52

Very predictable result in Singapore where second ranked Adroit (15-1) smashed 7th ranked SBA (7-9) 73-52 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Delvin Goh (201-1995) who scored 9 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international Leon Kwek (190-1996) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Wei Shern Ooi produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and Chun-wang Xuan added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Adroit. Defending champion maintains second place with 15-1 record behind leader Hornets. SBA lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Adroit's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Singapore Siglap.

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Singapore: Hornets (#1) and Siglap (#8). Siglap was crushed at home by 16 points 70-86 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Siglap. Hornets dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Siglap's 38. They outrebounded Siglap 46-21 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Jun Hao Mah who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Kelvin Lim (191-1996) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Eshan Kaul produced 13 points and Jeryl Gan added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Nanyang (3-13) was rolled over on the road by twelfth ranked Police (3-13) 76-51 on Thursday. Police outrebounded Nanyang 54-36 including 39 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Bayot Ferrera who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Emgeeyar Gopal chipped in 9 points and 14 rebounds. Jie Ming Teo produced 8 points and 6 rebounds and Schenider Ang added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Police moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Tungsan and Nanyang. Nanyang lost their seventh game in a row. Police will meet bottom-ranked Tungsan (#12) in the next round. Nanyang will play against Chong Ghee and hope to secure a win.
