The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Tagawa in Singapore on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Xin Hua 74-65. Zao Liang Chia orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Xing Yuan Han contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. International forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-2000) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds for Tagawa. Tagawa's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Xin Hua will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tagawa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Singapore Siglap.
Important game to mention about took place in . Adroit saved a 3-point derby victory on the road edging SBA 68-65 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Malaysian Hua-Sen Liew Larry (-1993) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Zhong-Han Wong chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The former international guard Wei-Long Wong (187-1988) responded with 14 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Adroit will play against SG Bball in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SBA will play against Tong Whye to get more than just one victory in their record.
An interesting game for Hornets which played road game in against Nanyang. Hornets had an easy win 87-40. Jun Hao Mah notched 10 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by Benjamin Lim did not help to save the game for Nanyang. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: winless Chong Ghee was beaten by Tong Whye on the road 74-73. SAF lost to undefeated Xin Hua on its own court 68-88. SAF outscored Zebra in Singapore 91-60.
