Deandre Liggins' triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

34-year old forward Deandre Liggins (198-F-1988) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Al Ahli and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He recorded a triple-double of 22 points adding also 13 rebounds and 12 assists, while his team crushed Al Wehda (#6, 9-7) with 17-point margin 95-78. It allowed Al Ahli to consolidate first place in the Saudi Arabian league. Al Ahli has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 14-1. In the team's last game Liggins had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Al Ahli's top player in his first season with the team. University of Kentucky graduate has very impressive stats this year. Liggins is in league's top in assists (4th best: 6.3apg) and averages solid 52.6% FGP and 43.2% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-C-1994, agency: BIG) of Deba. He is Ukrainian center in his first season at Deba. In the last game Koreniuk recorded impressive double-double of 29 points and 24 rebounds. Bad luck as Deba lost that game 86-100 to the higher-ranked Ohod (#3, 13-3). Deba is still in a red zone at 8th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-10 record. Koreniuk is a newcomer at Deba and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Antonio Campbell (206-F-1994) of league's second-best Al Nassr. Campbell got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds . He was a key player of Al Nassr, leading his team to a 115-87 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Ansar (#12, 1-14). Al Nassr is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 13-3 record is not that bad... Campbell has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.0rpg (6th best). He also has FGP: 72.7% and 3PT: 41.7%.
