Thon Maker's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Australian-South Sudanese Thon Maker (216-C-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Al-Ula and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 28-year old center recorded a triple-double of 24 points adding also 18 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team outclassed Mudhar (#5, 4-5) with 38-point margin 113-75. It allowed Al-Ula to consolidate first place in the Saudi Arabian SBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Al-Ula still have not lost a single game, getting all 9 victories. In the team's last game Maker had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al-Ula's top player in his first season with the team. Maker has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.3rpg) and averages solid 69.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Australian forward Lino Manhom (213-F-1998) of Al Khaleej. Manhom impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 24 rebounds. Of course he led Al Khaleej to another comfortable win outscoring Ohod (1-8) 97-67. This victory allowed Al Khaleej to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 8th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Al Khaleej managed to get this year. Manhom is a newcomer at Al Khaleej and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Al-Ula's star - American Jonathan Gibson (188-PG-1987). Gibson got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and seven assists. He was another key player of Al-Ula, helping his team with a 113-75 easy win against the lower-ranked Mudhar (#5, 4-5). Al-Ula have amazing season winning all 9 games without a single defeat. Gibson turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Gibson has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (6th best) and assists with 4.1apg (9th best). He also has a FGP of 60.0% and 3PT: 41.5%.
