American Guard Vante Hendrix (196-G-1998, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Mudhar, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 39 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Al Khewaildia (#9, 1-7) 95-92. Thanks to this victory Mudhar moved-up to the 6th position in Saudi Arabian SBL. Mudhar is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Hendrix had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Mudhar's top player in his first season with the team. Former California State University Northridge star has very solid stats this year. Hendrix is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.9ppg), rebounds (6th best: 12.0rpg), assists (3rd best: 5.5apg) and averages impressive 2.6spg and 69.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Senegalese Ibrahima Sankare (203-F-1996) of Al Khewaildia. Sankare had a very good evening with a double-double of 37 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Al Khewaildia was edged by the higher-ranked Mudhar (#6, 4-4) 95-92. Al Khewaildia managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Al Khewaildia managed to get this year. Sankare is a newcomer at Al Khewaildia, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.1ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 8.6rpg and 3.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tyler Stone (203-PF-1991, agency: Octagon Europe) of league's second-best Al Ahli Jeddah. Stone got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . He was a key player of Al Ahli, leading his team to a 111-62 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Salam (#7, 3-5). Al Ahli is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... The season just started for Stone as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
