Division 1 newcomer Al-Ula added to their roster 31-year-old USA 188cm point guard Quinn Cook (college: Duke) for the upcoming season. He played most recently at Mustangs in the Taiwanese TAT league. He also played for Cangrejeros in the Puerto Rican BSN where in four games he recorded 7.8ppg, 2.5rpg, and 2.8apg last season. The other team he played for briefly was another Puerto Rican team Gigantes (BSN) in Puerto Rico.
Cook has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He was also a member of the USA international program for some years. Cook played for USA Senior National Team two years ago and previously for the University National Team back in 2013.
He represented the USA at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers last year. His team won Gold and he averaged 5 ppg.
Cook is a very experienced player. He has traveled quite a bit during his pro career, playing in six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). Cook has played professionally in China (Guangsha Lions), Puerto Rico, Russia (Lokomotiv), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, and GS Warriors), and NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Stockton Kings, and Cleveland Charge).
He has won many awards during his career, including playing in the final of the NBA in 2019. He was also voted the USBasket.com All-D-League Guard of the Year in 2017.
Cook graduated from Duke University in 2015 and it'll be his tenth season in pro basketball.
