Al Fateh lands Gegi Baqradze, ex Iverioni

Gegi Baqradze

Al Fateh Al Hasa (SBL) signed Gegi Baqradze, a 30-year-old Georgian ex-international 206cm center, for the upcoming season. Baqradze last played for Iverioni in the Georgian Superleague, where he averaged 13.3ppg, 8.7rpg, 2.1apg, 2.0spg, and 1.0bpg in 23 games last season. He helped his team reach the cup final and received Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Honorable Mention. In the previous season (2022-23), he played for TalTech in the Estonian league and BC Rustavi 1991 in the Superleague. Baqradze represented the Georgian Senior National Team between 2018 and 2019.
He is a very experienced player. Baqradze has played professionally in Bosnia (Bratunac), Estonia, and Serbia (KK Tamis Pancevo) and Georgia (BC GAU Tbilisi and Delta).
His team won the Georgian League Regular Season in 2021.
