American Dallas Morgan (185-G) had a great game in the last round for Al Safa of Safwa and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The guard had the game-high 34 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Al Safa in his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Fateh (#6, 7-6) 102-97. Al Safa is placed at 9th position in Saudi Arabian SBL. Al Safa is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-9 record. In the team's last game Morgan had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He turned to be Al Safa's top player in his first season with the team. Central Michigan University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Morgan is in league's top in points (8th best: 22.9ppg), assists (9th best: 4.1apg) and averages solid 2.5spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman Brandon Spearman (191-G/F-1991) of Al Salam. Spearman impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 37 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Al Salam to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Al Khaleej (#10, 4-10) 95-75. Al Salam's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Spearman is a newcomer at Al Salam and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#7). He also registered 5.3 boards per game. University of Hawaii alumni Spearman played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was international center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-C-1998) of Al Hilal Riyadh (#4). Alsuwailem scored 14 points and grabbed 21 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Hilal, leading his team to a 101-85 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Wehda (#7, 7-7). Al Hilal needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Alsuwailem has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.2rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.2bpg and a FGP of 76.7%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
