Qatar Al Wakrah signs Hashem Abbaas ( ex Al Hilal )

Al Wakrah (QBL) has signed 24-year-old Jordanian-Palestinian international forward Hashem Abbaas (198cm-98kg-1999, college: Bridgeport). Abbaas was the second-best scorer at Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabian SBL league, with impressive stats of 18.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 2.7apg, and 1.0spg in the 2021-22 season.

He played a key role in helping Al Hilal win the league title and was named to the Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention. In the previous season (2020-21), Abbaas played for Al Ahli in the Jordan Premier League.
He also represented Jordan at the Asian Games in Huangzhou, China, this year.

His team won the Silver medal, and his statistics at that event were as follows: 4 games played, averaging 1.3 points per game, 1.8 rpg, and 1.0 apg.


He graduated from Bridgeport University in 2020, and this will be his fourth season as a professional player.
