Al Hilal Riyadh (SBL) has signed Rickey Young, a 33-year-old American power forward who stands at 205cm tall. Young, who previously played for Al Hilal Riyadh, started this season with Sagesse in the Lebanese LBL league. Last season, he played for various teams, including Al Karameh in the Syrian league and Kazma in the Kuwaiti league, where he averaged 12.0ppg and 5.5rpg in four West Asia Super League games. Young also had brief stints with Kuwait in the Kuwaiti league and Air Defence Sporting Club in the Iraqi league.
He has also played in various leagues within these countries, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of different playing styles and cultures. His extensive international experience has made him a versatile and adaptable player, capable of thriving in any basketball environment.
His team reached the Bolivian Libobasquet Semifinals in 2021, earning him several awards. In 2022, he was voted as the Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Power Forward of the Year.
He graduated from West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 2011, and this is his 13th season in professional basketball.
