Defending champion Al Ahli Jeddah (SBL) added to their roster 33-year old American forward Devin Ebanks (206cm-98kg-1989, college: WVU) for season 2023-24. It is actually his comeback to Jeddah as he has played here before. Ebanks played this summer at Tri-State (Big3) in the U.S. The last season he played at Al Ahli in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 16 games he recorded very impressive stats: 24.3ppg, 8.9rpg and 3.3apg. He helped them to win the league title. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
In 2010 he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (43rd overall). Ebanks graduated from West Virginia University and it will be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in twelve different countries. Ebanks tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Manama), France (Chalons Reims), Greece (Iraklis), Israel (Bnei Hasharon), Italy (Mens Sana), Japan (San-en NeoPhoenix), Mexico (Halcones Rojos), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Leones, Atleticos, Brujos and Indios), United Arab Emirates (Al Sharjah), Dominican Republic (Reales), NBA G League (Texas Legends, NAZ Suns, Springfield A. and Grand Rapids Gold) and The Basketball Tournament (Best Virginia).
