The Capital (D1) added to their roster 27-year old American (has also Senegalese passport) guard Cierra Dillard (176cm-1996, college: Buffalo, agency: Shark Sports Management) for season 2023-24. Dillard joins another USA player Rachel Hollivay who is already in the roster.
She played last season at Al Ittihad in Egyptian Superleague. She also played for Sporting in Egypt. The other team she played shortly was Al Ittihad in Egypt.
In 2019 she was drafted by Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in second round (20th overall).
The former University of Buffalo star is in her fifth season in pro basketball. She was called to Senegalese Senior National Team this year.
Dillard is quite experienced player. Thanks to her pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America) in four different countries. She has played previously professionally also in Finland (Tapiolan Honka), Spain (Casablanca) and Turkey (Yalova Vip).
Dillard's team won FIBA African Champions Cup in 2022. Dillard played also for University of Massachusetts for 2 years.
