Al Ahli - Al Hilal 76-72 SBL top team - Al Ahli (12-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Al Hilal (8-6) in Jeddah 76-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Hilal. The former international point guard Marzouq Almuwallad (180-1992) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American forward Deandre Liggins (198-1988, college: Kentucky) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Al Ahli's coach Ali Alsanhani allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side international center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Ahli have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Defending champion Al Hilal keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Al Ahli will play against Al Fateh (#4) in Al Hasa in the next round.
