Al Ansar - Al-Taawon 93-79 The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al-Taawon in Medina. Visitors were defeated by Al Ansar 93-79. Al Ansar dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Al-Taawon's 26. They outrebounded Al-Taawon 49-24 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Gerard Tarin (206-1996, college: Nova SE) nailed a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 23 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Daishon Knight (185-1991, college: Illinois St., agency: BIG) accounted for 25 points and 7 rebounds. Tarin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American guard Darious Clark (193-1990, college: Slippery Rock, agency: Domantay Sports) came up with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Mustafa Alhwsawi added 25 points respectively for Al-Taawon in the defeat. Al Fateh's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
