Al Ahly Jeddah (SBL) inked 32-year old American 206cm forward Devin Ebanks (college: WVU) for upcoming season. Ebanks played this summer at Best Virginia (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In four TBT games just recently he recorded 5.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.0apg. The last season he played at Al-Manama (Premier League) in Bahrain where in 24 games he averaged impressive 28.3ppg, 10.6rpg and 2.7apg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. They also made it to the Cup final.
In 2010 he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (43rd overall). Ebanks graduated from West Virginia University and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Ebanks has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eleven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France (Chalons Reims), Greece (Iraklis), Israel (Bnei Hasharon), Italy (Mens Sana), Japan (San-en NeoPhoenix), Mexico (Halcones Rojos), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Leones, Atleticos, Brujos and Indios), United Arab Emirates (Al Sharjah), Dominican Republic (Reales), NBA G League (Texas Legends, NAZ Suns and Grand Rapids Gold) and D-League (Springfield A.).
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com Italian Serie A2 All-Imports Team back in 2018.
Ebanks' game is described as: Has long arms, good ball handling, great timing for rebounds. Can score well in the paint but has limited range from outside. Plays with intensity and aggressiveness, he's effective at the defensive side, should add some beef to become a perfect PF.
