The most shocking disappointment of round 11 in the PBA was only three-point a home defeat of second-ranked Meralco Bolts (5-2) to third ranked NLEX RW (6-1) 104-101 in the game for the second place. It ended the three-game winning streak of Meralco Bolts. It was a key game for the second position in the league. 33 personal fouls committed by Bolts helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds. Guard Schonny Winston (193-1998) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. NLEX RW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Meralco Bolts at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Ginebra Kings and TNT Tropang. NLEX RW are looking forward to face SM Beermen (#8) in Manila in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Antonio Asistio accounted for 18 points. Finnish power forward Mubashar Ali (213-1997, college: FMU, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists for Terrafirma Dyip in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Painters have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Rain or Shine maintains first place with 7-0 record. Terrafirma Dyip lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Rain or Shine will play against Phoenix (#6) in Quezon in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Terrafirma Dyip will have a break next round.
