Regular Season Round 11: Meralco Bolts - NLEX RW 101-104

The most shocking disappointment of round 11 in the PBA was only three-point a home defeat of second-ranked Meralco Bolts (5-2) to third ranked NLEX RW (6-1) 104-101 in the game for the second place. It ended the three-game winning streak of Meralco Bolts. It was a key game for the second position in the league. 33 personal fouls committed by Bolts helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds. Guard Schonny Winston (193-1998) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and guard Chris Newsome (187-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) scored 19 points and 6 assists. Four Warriors and five Bolts players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. NLEX RW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Meralco Bolts at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Ginebra Kings and TNT Tropang. NLEX RW are looking forward to face SM Beermen (#8) in Manila in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Meralco Bolts will have a break next round.

Cady Lalanne put on a remarkable display in the game against Meralco Bolts, scoring an impressive 34 points, grabbing 25 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists. His stellar performance was instrumental in securing the victory for his team. Lalanne's exceptional showing earned him the prestigious 20+ Rebounds Badge from eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a champion player.
