SM Beermen - Ginebra Kings 91-105

Strangely Beermen outrebounded Kings 55-41 including a 30-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Beermen's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kings made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Guard Jayson David (188-1996) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Kings players scored in double figures. Center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) replied with 9 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jaymar Perez (188-1993) added 22 points in the effort for Beermen. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

TNT Tropang outrebounded Bolts 49-38 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. TNT Tropang players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Bolts were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward John Paul Erram (203-1989) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and naturalized Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-1996, college: CBU) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four TNT Tropang players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Christopher Banchero (186-1990, college: Seattle Pacific) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American Clifford Hodge (196-1988, college: HPU) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
