WLBL Round 2 of Semi-Finals. Al Riyadi and Homentmen celebrate victories

Azour - Al Riyadi 49-78

Al Riyadi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Nigerian center Blessing Ejiofor (196-1998, college: WVU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. International Maria Ghaleb (183-2001, college: WBU) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. The former international Tina Raffoul (180-1998) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Australian guard Madeleine Garrick (180-1992) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Azour. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Homentmen outrebounded Beirut FC 42-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Homentmen players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international guard Amar Mansour (175-2004, college: St.Joseph's) scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and British-American power forward Kristine Anigwe (193-1997, college: California) chipped in 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Kahlaijah Dean (168-1999, college: Sacramento St.) responded with 23 points and 6 assists and Maryam Jomaa (165-2003, agency: BIG) scored 22 points and 7 assists. Five Homentmen and four Beirut FC players scored in double figures.
