Lebanese DLBL round 1 best performance: Khalid Thomas

American Forward Khalid Thomas (208-F-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Homentmen Beirut, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Hoops (#11, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 90-80. Homentmen maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese DLBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Homentmen won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Homentmen's top player in his first season with the team. Former Portland State University star has very solid stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Kenyan Makur Maker (212-C/F-2000) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut. Maker had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Sagesse to another comfortable win outscoring Al Chabab (0-2) 108-65. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Maker is a newcomer at Sagesse, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Homentmen's star - American forward Tyler Bey (201-F-1998). Bey scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was another key player of Homentmen Beirut, helping his team with a 90-80 win against Hoops (#11, 0-2). Homentmen has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Bey also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Bey has a great season in Lebanon. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (7th best).

9. Majur Majak (216-C) of Antranik - 17 points and 12 rebounds
10. Alex Alalia (198-SG-2004) of Tadamon - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
