Al Riyadi smashed Tadamon in Beirut 118-83. Al Riyadi dominated down low during the game scoring 94 of its points in the paint compared to Tadamon's 50. They outrebounded Tadamon 51-31 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Riyadi looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Al Riyadi made 12 blocks. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (207-1991) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners and American Maurice Kemp (203-1991, college: ECU) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tadamon will play next round against strong NSA trying to get back on the winning streak. Al Riyadi will try to continue on its current victory against Al Chabab in Batroun.
Antonine recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were edged by Maristes 98-95. American Ricky Ledo (201-1992, college: Providence) came up with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for Antonine in the defeat. Maristes will play against Beirut Club at home in the next round. Antonine will play against Al Markaziyyah in Jounieh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Beirut was also quite interesting. NSA played at the court of Beirut Club. NSA managed to secure a 5-point victory 97-92 on Sunday. Makye Richards fired 23 points and 9 assists for the winners. NSA's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Tony Mitchell produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. NSA will meet at home Tadamon in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beirut Club will play against Maristes in Dik El Mehdi and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: winless Antranik lost to Al Markaziyyah on the opponent's court 81-85. Homentmen managed to outperform Hoops in a home game 90-80. Winless Al Chabab lost to undefeated Sagesse on the road 65-108.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 30 points and 13 rebounds by Makur Maker of Sagesse.

Antonine - Maristes 95-98

Antonine recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were edged by Maristes 98-95. Maristes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American center Henry Sims (208-1990, college: Georgetown) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and American-Syrian guard Javion Blake (191-1997, college: Washburn) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American Ricky Ledo (201-1992, college: Providence) came up with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import point guard Glenn Cosey (183-1992, college: EKU) added 20 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for Antonine in the defeat. Four Maristes and five Antonine players scored in double figures. Maristes will play against Beirut Club at home in the next round. Antonine will play against Al Markaziyyah in Jounieh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Libyan-American swingman Tony Mitchell (198-1989, college: Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Elijah Thomas (206-1996, college: Clemson) added 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. NSA will meet at home Tadamon in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beirut Club will play against Maristes in Dik El Mehdi and hope to win that game.

McGill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Markaziyyah players scored in double figures. American Jeremiah Gambrell Jr. (190-2000, college: Alcorn St., agency: 0z Sports Agency) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and South Sudanese center Majur Majak (216, college: New Haven) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Antranik's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al Markaziyyah will meet at home Antonine in the next round.
